Service Description

Have you ever wished that you had a designer to accompany you on a shopping trip to ensure you are making the best choices in furniture or accessory selections for your home? Are you selecting finishes but need a second pair of eyes? We understand how frustrating it can be to have to purchase and return items again and again because nothing seems to work together. This is why we offer the designer for a Day service. This service includes: A virtual design consultation (1 hour): We will review photos of your space as well as review your answers to our questionnaire. A mood board & recommended shopping wish list for the space in question. (3-4 hours) Shopping trip of 1-3 locations helping you make selections for your space. (3 hours/ 1:30pm-4:30pm) To get started book a 15 minute discovery call before purchasing this service. Additional Details: Items that can be shopped for during a shopping trip may include: furniture, accessories, finishes at a showroom. Retail stores that a client chooses should be within a 5 mile radius between each other and no more then 18 miles from zip code 20848 What is a mood board? A Mood board is a collage of inspirational home decor ideas which communicates a feeling and concept for the look of the space. We like to create a mood board at the start of any design project or shopping trip to create a vision for the space that will allow you to have a strategy for your shopping trip to make the best selection and make the best use of your time. The virtual consultation and mood board/shopping list will be scheduled on a separate day from the shopping trip day. The mood board/ shopping list will be submitted to you by email 2-5 business days for approval after your consultation. YL Designs Interiors will not be held responsible for the lack of availability of shopping wish list items in selected stores Whether stores are selected by us or the customer. If we shopped 3 stores and still have several outstanding items and time allows for a fourth store this may be allowed if within the 3 hour time slot with 1 hour still remaining. If additional time is requested and available, the hourly rate $165 will be invoiced to you at the end of the trip. It is recommended that large items such as sofa, sectionals, dining tables etc. be measured on a floor plan to ensure that the correct size is selected while shopping. See our floor plan service option under consultations. Designer for a Day service fees are nonrefundable.


There are no refunds for cancelled sessions

To cancel or reschedule please contact us at least 24 hours in advance. We cannot provide you with a refund but we will work with you to reschedule your appointment.
